What is Well-Springs?
The Well-Springs Program, one of the most profound transformational processes available today, reaches into the depths of our beings, fostering world peace through conscious evolution. The Program uses a synthesis of music, the arts, creative expression, inner exploration and massage to facilitate healing. Separately, these elements are all familiar, but when integrated in this unique way, they create life altering change. Music, movement and the arts have been used for healing in ancient cultures, this pioneering program emerged in the mid 1950's to speak with great lightness and power to the issues of modern times. Nurturing the whole, the sacred, the lightness and joy of being, this process invites us to let go into the flow of our own uniqueness. "Sharing in each other's experiences builds energy and releases new hope both for ourselves and the world." ~Kay Ortmans-Pawley Music and movement are at the center of the Well-Springs Program. Together they provide the catalyst for change. Fine classical music is the "carrier wave" and its vibrations surrounds and fills us. We are held by its uplifting energy and more able to experience and release old limiting patterns, accessing new energy for change. Movement allows us to respond to, and fully experience the music within ourselves. At the beginning simple movements allow our bodies to relax, let go and catch the rebound within. Gradually the music invites different kinds of movements, both structured and unstructured, allowing deep expression and release. Deep relaxation, centering and grounding are essential for healing and are woven into the fabric of the Program. Relaxation helps us to quiet the mind, restore and soften the body, allowing energy and creative insight to be released. Centering and grounding invite us to come into alignment with the deep Self and experience a sense of integration and well-being. Color is another element used throughout the process to extend and expand our experience. As fine music fills the air, we move with colored fabric, stimulating our senses and promoting deep inner exploration. Chalk drawings to music allow a free expression of color, helping us to release feelings that flow to the surface, giving us new insights. Clay is also a medium of expression. It provides resistance and pliability something to be thrown, pounded or molded. The key element in the Well-Springs meditation is fine classical music. It is a bridge between matter and spirit. We listen to and breathe with the phrases of the music and allow it to fill us. Becoming one with the music, we can access deep inner knowing, and make way for guidance and wisdom. Journaling is done as part of the meditation process and at other times during the Program to call forth new awareness and assist our inner process. "Alignment-Through-Music" is unique to the Well-Springs Program. It invites healing to take place through a massage to classical music. The synchronization of the massage to music and the wisdom of the body allows resistances to fall away, deeper memories and emotions surface, and a new lightness and freedom to come forward. Usually done with other aspects of the Program it facilitates profound healing. Training Program Well-Springs is open to anyone drawn to it for personal transformation and healing.
